This class uses “Reading Secrets” to help students learn how to “decode” and fluently practice saying Hebrew syllables, words, and phrases. Students will learn more about the letters, vowels, and meanings of key Jewish cultural words. Some examples of these words are matzah, havdalah, Yisrael, shofar, and Moshe, as well as everyday Hebrew words like abba, ima, sabba, savta, mishpakhah, shalom.
The class is recommended before taking Hebrew 1. The only prerequisite is regular attendance and a willingness to do the work! There will be extensive practice for each new letter and vowel as they are introduced in a way that helps you remember and puts your learning to use!
The books are included in the $25 registration cost and will be provided on the first day of class.
The maximum capacity is 15 students. All registrations are final.
