Aseret HaDibrot: An Invitation to Hear God's Voice and Live
Most of us know the Ten Commandments as a list — ten rules carved in stone, memorized young, and half-forgotten since. This eleven-week study invites you to hear them differently: not as a wall of prohibitions, but as Aseret HaDibrot, the "Ten Words," a single voice at Sinai still speaking to anyone willing to listen.
Week by week we'll walk through each Utterance in its Hebrew roots and its original context, then trace it forward into the teaching of Yeshua and the writings of the apostles. Along the way we'll meet the Sages, the prophets, and the structure the Commandments themselves share — each one on the first tablet mirrored by a partner on the second, Word by Word, all the way to the last.
This series is built for our whole congregation: Jewish believers, Gentile believers grafted in, intermarried families, and anyone reclaiming a Jewish heritage of their own. No prior background is assumed—just an open Bible and a willingness to sit with ancient words never meant to regulate behavior, but to shape a heart.
Eleven weeks. Ten Words. One voice, still inviting us to listen.
