A Prayer for the Peace and Protection of Israel
Avinu Shebashamayim (Our Father in Heaven), we stand before You in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach, the Prince of Peace and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. We lift up Eretz Yisrael and the Jewish people, weaving the words of the Tehillim (Psalms) into our plea for Your divine intervention.
For Shalom and Prosperity
Lord, we join the generations in praying for the shalom of Yerushalayim. May those who love her prosper. We declare peace within her ramparts and security within her palaces. For the sake of our brothers and friends, we seek her good and the glory of Your Name in her midst (Psalm 122).
For the Shomer of Israel
We lift our eyes to the hills—our help comes from Adonai, the Maker of Heaven and Earth. We thank You that the Shomer Yisrael (Guardian of Israel) does not slumber and does not sleep. Be the shade at her right hand; guard her people from all evil and watch over their souls, from this time forth and forevermore (Psalm 121).
For Protection Under Your Wings
We ask that the sons and daughters of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob dwell in the Seter Elyon—the secret place of the Most High. Be their refuge and their fortress. We trust in Your manitzah (shield) to protect them from the snare and the pestilence. May they find refuge under Your wings, fearing no arrow by day nor terror by night (Psalm 91).
For Victory through the Name
In this hour of trouble, may Adonai answer Israel. May the Name of the Elohei Yaakov set her securely on high. We pray for the salvation of the IDF and the protection of the innocent. Some trust in iron domes and some in strategy, but we will boast in the Name of Adonai our God. Grant victory to the King’s anointed! (Psalm 20).
For Justice and Your Glory
O God, do not keep silence! Do not hold Your peace or be still. Let those who rise up against Your people be put to shame, that they may seek Your Name, Adonai. Let the world know that You alone are the Most High over all the earth, the Holy One of Israel (Psalm 83).
For Safety in the Refuge
Shimreni El, keep them safe, O God, for in You they have taken refuge. We declare that You are their Lord; apart from You, they have no good thing. Preserve the remnant and draw many to recognize the face of their Messiah (Psalm 16:1).
B’shem Yeshua HaMashiach,
Amen.
