A Prayer for Israel and the Middle East
*Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad.*
Lord of Hosts, the nations are in an uproar — and yet You are not surprised.
Israel is focusing on creating a security buffer zone in southern Lebanon. Iran's foreign minister is in Moscow today seeking support to end a war that has shaken the entire region. Negotiations between the US and Iran remain stalled. The Strait of Hormuz is contested, economies tremble, and in Darfur, seventy lives are lost to a measles outbreak because war has destroyed the hospitals that could have saved them.
You see it all. Not one soul is hidden from Your sight.
We thank You, HaShem, for Your mercy over this nation. Just two nights ago, an armed man breached security at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, and You shielded President Trump, Vice President Vance, and the Cabinet from what authorities are calling the third assassination attempt in less than two years. A Secret Service officer was shot — and lived. We do not take this lightly. You set up rulers and You protect them. Grant President Trump and his administration wisdom, protection, and above all — a revelation of Yeshua, the King before Whom every earthly throne must bow.
We pray for the peace of Jerusalem — shalu shalom Yerushalayim. Protect Israel's soldiers and civilians. Restrain the warring nations. Have mercy on the displaced of Lebanon, the suffering of Iran, and every innocent soul caught in the crossfire.
But more than a ceasefire, LORD — we cry out for Your peace. The peace no diplomat can broker. And we pray with urgency: let Yeshua be made known. In the shaking, lift the veil from Jewish eyes. Open Isaiah 53. Open Zechariah 12. Let this generation of Israel see their Messiah. Strengthen every Messianic congregation in the Land. Make the testimony of Jewish believers irresistible.
The nations are watching Israel — let Israel look to Yeshua.
"They will look on Me, the One they have pierced." — Zechariah 12:10
That promise is not distant. We pray it into the present tense.
Maranatha — Come, Lord Yeshua.
Amen v'Amen.
